Taking a political swipe at the Himachal government, Thakur said it was unfortunate that the Chief Minister was being seen as “credit-hungry” over the project, when the agreement involved six states and was facilitated through discussions led by the Union government.

Rattan also addressed concerns surrounding the merger of wards 8 and 9 from the panchayat area into the Municipal Council. He said the move had been made to provide residents with better urban facilities, including sewerage, roads and street lighting, rather than to cause inconvenience to them.

He stated that the primary objective of the campaign is to take the message of development carried out by the MLA to every household, strengthen the party at the grassroots level, and prepare young leaders for future political and organizational responsibilities.

He also alleged that drug and alcohol-related activities near Bindravan School have increased, but no effective action has been taken by the administration. Waterlogging, damaged roads and sewerage issues continue to trouble residents in several areas.

On the other hand, Congress continued to witness complaints and reports of internal dissatisfaction, but failed to take any substantial disciplinary action. BJP leaders claimed that Congress’ indecisiveness and lack of action have created confusion and dissatisfaction among its own workers.

During her campaign, Som Kiran Sharma has been highlighting key issues such as development, cleanliness, improved drinking water supply, better roads, and enhanced street lighting facilities. She stated that if elected, she would work with honesty and dedication to transform Ward No. 1 into a model and well-developed ward.

Appealing to voters, Deepti Sharma Sood urged the people of Ward No. 4 to support her by casting their votes in favor of her election symbol, the “Chair,” so that the ward can move towards progress and better civic development.

Addressing the residents during his campaign, Neeraj Sharma said, “The development of Ward No. 5 has always been my primary goal. With the blessings and support of the people, development work in the ward will be accelerated further in the coming time. I have worked for the people and will continue to work in the future as well.”

Local residents have also shown positive support during her campaign, with many appreciating her efforts to personally connect with people and listen to their concerns. Supporters believe her active involvement and commitment to public welfare could bring meaningful development to the ward.

Our goal is to make Jawalamukhi a model town with equal development in all nine wards. We are committed to providing better infrastructure and civic amenities for both residents and visiting pilgrims,” he added.
