Recently, two Doppler Radar Stations at Jot in Chamba district and Murari Devi in Mandi district have been established thereby 70 percent area of the state is already covered. These stations can generate scientific data on the severity of weather in a radius of 100 kilometers each and with the establishment of two more stations, coverage of the whole state will be ensured for weather forecasting well in time.

Appreciating the efforts of Dr. Pramod Sharma, the Governor said that books were the best companion enhancing ones knowledge and vision. The books enrich, enlighten and empower human mind and assist in improving the quality of life.

The Chief Minister lauded the efforts of the officers for disbursing Rs. 804 crore as land compensation in various NH projects within a month. He also emphasized the importance of completing the disbursement process of the remaining compensation cases worth about Rs. 750 crore by 27 March, 2023.

The Cabinet also recommended the Governor to convene the budget session of H.P. Vidhan Sabha from 14th March to 6th April, 2023. It would have 18 sittings. Chief Minister, Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu chaired the meeting. The Cabinet decided to refurbish the existing shelter homes, orphanages and old age homes etc, under the Yojana to provide better facilities to the inmates.

The Doordarshan will now be available to the people of the State round the clock. Remembering late Smt. Indira Gandhi, Sh. Sukhu attributed the National telecast of Doordarshan to her and said that since then a lot of progress has been witnessed in the history of Doordarshan. He thanked the Union Minister for understanding the necessity of the reach of Doordarshan in remote and far-flung areas of Himachal Pradesh.

Pong Dam reservoir in district Kangra and Janjehli area of Mandi district will be developed under Swadesh Darshan Yojna II. A renowned consultancy approved by Ministry will soon prepare detailed project report for further execution of this project. The Chief Minister also requested to include other places of tourist interest under the ambit of the scheme.

The Chief Minister urged the Union Minister to speed up four-lane projects especially Kiratpur-Manali, Parwanoo-Shimla, Chakki-Mataur-Shimla, Mandi-Pathankot, Nalagarh-Swarghat, Mubarakpur-Amb-Naduan, Paonta Sahib-Kala Amb highways so that it could be completed in stipulated time. Besides this, the Chief Minister also advocated for construction of flyovers to ease traffic congestion besides reducing distance and saving time of commuters.

State Government has now relaxed the rules and procedures for the investors and Deputy Commissioners have been empowered to accord permission. State government is committed to accord all necessary permissions in a time bound manner especially in energy sector and to ease the process for applying. 

The government is determined to provide better infrastructure and other modern facilities to the youth of Himachal Pradesh and to encourage them to give out their best performances at national and international level", said the Sports Minister.
