Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu alleged that the central government was conspiring to suppress the opposition by misusing constitutional institutions. Congress is agitating to save democracy, other opposition parties should also sacrifice themselves in this. Especially the regional parties will have to unite.
The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh was talking to reporters at the State Congress Headquarters in Sector-9 on Tuesday. On canceling the membership of former National Congress President Rahul Gandhi, the Chief Minister advised the regional parties that when the government can take arbitrary action on the leader of the country’s largest opposition party, the Congress, the regional parties will have to think about it and unitedly oppose the Center. The fight has to be fought against the government. The Himachal Chief Minister said that it is for the first time in 75 years of independence that constitutional bodies themselves have raised the issue of interference of the Central Government in their work, be it the Supreme Court or the Election Commission.
The central government is now accepting that they are paramount, what they are saying is correct. He does not know that Rahul Gandhi has said that he does not aspire for the post of Prime Minister. On the question of why only Rahul Gandhi is being targeted, Sukhu said that because Rahul Gandhi questions the government from Parliament to the road, such conspiracies are being hatched against him.
Sukhu said that Rahul Gandhi gave a speech in Karnataka but due to the bad intention of the government, a case was registered in Gujarat. Regarding Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, he said that what was the point that the son of a prime minister walked from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. It got so much support from the people that the central government got scared. Because of this fear, she is taking such decisions. Sukhu believes that the Congress is the biggest opposition party in the country. In other states including Haryana, Karnataka and Punjab, the Congress is fighting for the interests of the people by sitting in the opposition.
