# Jwalamukhi Petrol Pump Employee Assaulted, Incident Captured on CCTV; Questions Raised Over Police Response
## Dispute over vehicle parking near Truck Union on Dehra-Jwalamukhi Road turns violent; seriously injured employee shifted to hospital
**Jwalamukhi:** A petrol pump employee was allegedly assaulted following a dispute over the parking of vehicles near the Truck Union on the Dehra-Jwalamukhi Road in Jwalamukhi. The incident reportedly took place in front of the Himachal Agro petrol pump and was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the premises.
The employee was seriously injured in the alleged assault and was taken to hospital for treatment. The incident has also raised questions over the alleged delay in the police response.
According to petrol pump employees, the police were informed immediately after the incident. However, they alleged that despite being informed, police personnel did not reach the spot for nearly an hour.
Employees pointed out that the Jwalamukhi Police Station is located only around two kilometres from the petrol pump. They questioned why it took such a long time for the police to reach the scene despite the short distance.
Local residents have also expressed concern over the incident, stating that had the police arrived promptly, the accused might have been apprehended in or around the area.

The incident has once again brought attention to traffic problems in the nearby Kabadi Bazaar area. Local residents allege that vehicles are frequently parked along the roadside, while scrap material is also placed on public spaces, making it difficult for pedestrians to walk safely.
Residents have alleged that the resulting congestion and disorder are creating serious inconvenience, while effective action against those causing traffic obstructions is allegedly lacking.
Locals have demanded strict action against those involved in the assault and have also called for a thorough investigation into the alleged delay in the police response. They have further urged the police and traffic authorities to take regular action against illegal roadside parking and obstructions in the area.
The CCTV footage is expected to play an important role in the investigation. An official response from the police regarding the incident and the allegations of delayed action is awaited.
