Shimla, June 18: The monthly meeting of BJP District Shimla was held at Deepkamal, Chakkar, on Thursday. The meeting was attended by BJP State Organisation General Secretary Siddharthan and former BJP State President and District In-charge Suresh Chandel. Discussions focused on organisational activities, upcoming programmes, and the ongoing public outreach campaign marking the completion of 12 years of the Central Government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Addressing the gathering, Suresh Chandel said that the slogan “Modi Hai To Mumkin Hai” is not merely a catchphrase but a reflection of the transformative changes witnessed across the country over the past 12 years. He stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government has set new benchmarks in good governance, development, and welfare initiatives for the underprivileged.

He highlighted that the government has successfully lifted nearly 25 crore people out of poverty, provided free food grains to 81 crore beneficiaries, delivered permanent housing to over four crore families, and connected more than 60 crore citizens to the banking system through Jan Dhan accounts.

Chandel further informed that the BJP has planned a series of programmes to commemorate the completion of 12 years of the Modi Government. International Yoga Day will be celebrated at the Panchayat level on June 21, while June 25 will be observed as Black Day to mark the anniversary of the Emergency and remember what the party describes as the biggest assault on democracy. On June 28, BJP workers will listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popular radio programme “Mann Ki Baat” at booth level. In addition, cleanliness drives, plantation campaigns, public outreach activities, and meetings with senior party workers will also be organised.

Following the meeting, a door-to-door outreach campaign was conducted in the Baluganj area. In the presence of BJP State Organisation General Secretary Siddharthan, party workers visited around 25 households and distributed pamphlets highlighting the achievements of the Modi Government over the last 12 years. They also informed residents about various welfare schemes of the Central Government and sought to take the government’s achievements directly to the people.

Among those present on the occasion were Kusum Sadret, Nitin Kumar, Keshav Chauhan, Suresh Bhardwaj, Sanjay Sood, Ravi Mehta, Kamaljeet Sood, Ganesh Dutt, Rama Thakur, Karn Nanda, Shivani, Akshay Bharmouri, Pyar Singh Kanwar, Pramod Thakur, Prem Thakur, Vijay Parmar, Nikhil Thakur, Rajeev Pandit, Yog Raj, and a large number of BJP workers.
