A grand annual gathering of the Upmanyu, Vatsyayan and Vats Gotra Brahmin families was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at Katoi, near Chukath in Jwalamukhi. The religious event was organized in the premises of Kuldevi Jatheri Mata Temple, where a large number of Brahmin families belonging to the Upmanyu, Vatsyayan and Vats gotras gathered together, making the occasion memorable and spiritually vibrant.

The temple houses idols of Maharishi Upmanyu and Mahishasura Mardini. According to the organizers, the idol of the Kuldevi was installed on this very day, and since then the annual religious ceremony has been held every year in the month of May. Brahmin families from various cities across North India participate in the event to seek the blessings of their Kuldevi.

On the occasion, traditional Hawan and पूजा rituals were performed with full religious customs, followed by a community feast (Bhandara) in which all devotees participated and received prasad. The gathering also reflected strong social bonding and unity among the families attending the event.

Organizing committee convener Suresh Shastri stated that special religious gatherings are organized at the temple every year during the months of May and November. He added that on the last Sunday of November, Brahmin families of the Upmanyu, Vatsyayan and Vats gotras once again gather at the temple to seek the blessings of the revered Kuldevi. Hawan, prayers and a grand Bhandara are also organized on that occasion.

He further informed that the temple is located at Katoi on the Chukath–Sudhangal road near the residence of former Jwalamukhi MLA late Dhani Ram Chaudhary, making it easily accessible for devotees and visitors.
