The Exit poll for Gujrat and Himachal Pradesh and also Delhi MC is out. What will be the outcome of the votes polled would be known only after 40 hours or so but an indication from the exit polls, which are only and only an assessment, is that rising graph of the BJP is sliding down with the passage of time.
In Himachal Pradesh there seems to be close finish between Congress and the BJP despite the fact that an army of senior BJP leaders including Prime Minister of India, Home Minister of the Country and a number of Union Ministers , Chief Ministers of BJP ruled States campaigned here for a fortnightl contituously besides J,P, Nadda National President of the BJP and the State Chief Minister.
Though Himachal Chief Minister, Jai Ram Thakur in his reaction other day to a tv news channel has expressed full confidence to repeat the Government but ground realities and views of the political analysts in the State are totally different. They opined that though Congress did not campaigned in the State as the BJP did, but still it has the advantage. It was only the State leadership and above all the people of the State which voted in the elections on issues related to the State, whereas BJP has no such issue and nothing to show case. People of the State refused to be taken in by other lofty issues raised by the top leadership of the BJP.
.Delhi MCD election, which was fought by the BJP not less than Assembly and Lok Sabha, exit poll shows a crushing defeat for BJP giving advent age to the AAP. This gives an indication that the BJP had totally failed to deliver goods in last 15 years of its rule and people of the National capital are not happy with the governance of the party.
In Gujrat also where exit polls are giving huge mandate for the BJP but low voting percentage shows that there is also not much enthusiasm amongst the people for the BJP, to win election is a separate thing. There are various reasons for it, known to most of the people in Gujrat and elsewhere. In nut shell, Modi magic which has reached at its peak in last eight years is diminishing day by day and this also says the Diminishing Law of Utility. People are in search of an alternative, which they are not finding for the time being. What will happen in future, we do not know. For the result of Gujat, Himachal Pradesh and Delhi MCD, let us wait for December 8, day after tomorrow. -Braham Dev Sharma
