Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Maha-Prashikshan Abhiyan will strengthen BJP’s organization — worker training to accelerate election preparedness” — Rajeev Bindal

“Congress government entangled in protests and sloganeering is failing in governance — diverting attention from people’s issues”

Nahan: Under the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Maha-Prashikshan Abhiyan-2026, a workshop for the Shimla Parliamentary constituency was inaugurated today at the BJP District Office in Nahan, Sirmaur. BJP Himachal Pradesh in-charge Shrikant Sharma was specially present on the occasion. MPs, MLAs, and senior office-bearers from the Shimla parliamentary constituency participated in the workshop.

Detailed discussions and deliberations were held on organizational subjects such as booth management, achievements of the Central Government, ideological foundations, the history and growth of the BJP, organizational working methods, and social media strategy.

State BJP President Rajeev Bindal said that the statewide training campaign of the party has begun. The first workshop was held in Sundernagar, and the Shimla parliamentary constituency workshop is now being conducted in Nahan. He informed that the next workshop will be held in Una, which will be inaugurated by Anurag Thakur and concluded by Jairam Thakur. This will be followed by workshops for the Kangra parliamentary constituency on 24 February and Mandi parliamentary constituency on 25 February, with senior leaders and organizational functionaries in attendance.

He stated that after the workshops in all four parliamentary constituencies, training sessions will begin at the mandal level, and the party aims to complete a total of 171 training sessions before March and 14 April. Bindal said that as part of organizational expansion, the BJP has enrolled about 1.7 million primary members, 25,000 active members, and constituted 775 booth committees. In addition, committees have been formed for 171 mandals, 17 organizational districts, and seven morchas, strengthening the organization down to the grassroots level. He added that this training campaign will empower workers ideologically, organizationally, and electorally, preparing the party for upcoming elections.

Attack on State Government

The state president also targeted the state government, saying that the present Congress government led by Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is indulging in protest politics instead of governing. He said that on issues like MGNREGA, the Chief Minister and ministers themselves were seen sitting in protests, which is unusual in a democratic system.

Bindal further said that during the recent Assembly session, ruling party MLAs and ministers came out of the House holding placards and staged protests while raising slogans, a role normally associated with the opposition. He said that the people of the state are waiting for roads, healthcare, employment, and development, but the government is busy with political sloganeering instead of addressing these core concerns.

He stated that if the government wishes to engage in protest politics, it should step down from power and function as the opposition, but governing while inconveniencing the public is not appropriate. He alleged that the government has failed to fulfill its election guarantees and is now raising political issues to evade responsibility.

Rajeev Bindal said that the BJP’s training campaign will energize the organization and provide workers with ideological clarity and organizational efficiency. He expressed confidence that with a strong organization, trained cadre, and public support, the BJP will contest upcoming elections with full strength and continue to raise issues concerning the interests of Himachal Pradesh.
