Long queues of devotees were also seen at major Shiva temples across the state, including the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi, the Nageshwarnath Temple in Ayodhya, and others in Meerut, Gorakhpur, and Agra. Many cities also saw 'Shiv Barats' (processions) being carried out .

Enumerating the results achieved due to the Government’s consistent push towards self-reliance, Raksha Mantri stated that the domestic defence production, which was only Rs 46,425 crore in 2014, has grown to a record approx. Rs 1.51 lakh crore today. He added that over Rs 33,000 crore of this contribution comes from the private sector, indicating that private industries

At the outset, Shri Rajnath Singh, Minister of Defence made introductory remarks and welcomed all the Leaders attending the meeting and thereafter, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs conducted the meeting. He informed the leaders that the Winter Session, 2025 of Parliament will commence on Monday, the 1st December, 2025 and subject to exigencies of Government Business, the session may conclude on Friday, the 19th December, 2025. The Session will provide a total of 15 sittings spread over a period of 19 days.

Raksha Mantri also appreciated the DMSRDE for carrying out a large number of transfer of technologies in the last two years fulfilling the Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ vision of the Government. He called for exploring export potential of developed defence products/technologies and said MSME & industries interactions in DTTC, Lucknow to be enhanced to meet the requirements

Vikramaditya Singh informed that he had also raised the issue of constructing a tunnel beneath Jalori Jot in Kullu district, under National Highway-305. The Central Government has given in-principle approval and sanctioned Rs. 1,452 crore for this tunnel. He said that the construction of this tunnel would not only boost tourism in the area but also benefit lakhs of residents in the region.

He urged for declaration of Ghatasni-Shilha-Badhani-Bhubujot- Kullu road as a National Highway keeping in view its strategic significance. He said that there was an urgent need for an alternative connectivity to Pathankot-Manali-Leh National Highway and this road would not only serve the purpose but also shorten the distance by about 55 km. Moreover, it would also provide a stable highway besides boosting tourism and strengthening rural economy.

Secretary to the Governor C.P. Verma, Superintendent of Police Rajneesh Singh, Chief Engineer of Project Deepak Rajeev Kumar and senior officials of the district administration and BRO were also present on the occasion.

The construction of the Bhubu Jot Tunnel would be a transformative step for the development of Himachal Pradesh. This project would not only strengthen strategic infrastructure but also catalyze socio-economic growth in the region,” the Chief Minister added.
