Likewise, the leadership of Central Tibetan Administration, including Kalon (Minister) Norzin Dolma of the Department of Information and International Relations, Tibetan Parliamentarians of the 17th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, and Secretaries of Central Tibetan Administration, gathered at the courtyard of His Holiness’ residence to see Him off.

In his address, the Chief Minister encouraged and emphasized upon investments in tourism, green energy, data storage, food processing, and other sustainable sectors.

Addressing the gathering, His Holiness the Dalai Lama reminded the Tibetan community about the gratitude owed to government and people of India for accommodating sustenance of Tibetans in exile including aiding in the preservation of Tibet’s cultural heritages as well as imparting the modern education to Tibetans. His Holiness also conveyed his gratitude to the BTSM for their continuous support of the Tibetan cause.

Following their meeting, the delegation visited Tibetan Parliamentary Secretariat and met with Speaker Khenpo Sonam Tenphel and Deputy Speaker Dolma Tsering Teykhang. The two thanked the delegation for their support and solidarity with the Tibetan cause. The delegates were briefed on the evolution of democracy in the Tibetan community

The visiting guests comprise a four-member European Parliamentary delegation led by honourable Mikulas Peksa; a nine-member Parliamentary delegation of Mexico led by honourable Salvador Caro Cabrera (members of Tibet Support Groups); and honourable Arunas Valinskas, a member of the Lithuanian Parliament.

Norzin was accompanied by Lobsang Shastri, Representative at the Bureau of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in New Delhi and Bureau Secretary Dhundup Gyalpo.
Following the meeting with the Tibetan delegates, the Czech Foreign Minister tweeted, “It was a pleasure to meet again with representatives of Tibetans in exile during my visit to India. The friendship between Václav Havel and His Holiness the Dalai Lama lives on”.
