The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone of a new fire post at Jwalamukhi which will be completed in next 15 months at a cost of Rs.5.36 crore. This project would also have a parking area for the fire tenders and staff quarters. He directed the BSNL engineering wing to complete the project within stipulated time period.

While addressing the meeting, the Chief Secretary directed all Deputy Commissioners across the state to activate the Civil Defence system as per the directives of the Central Government. The director of the UIDAI assured that such sessions would be held on regular intervals so that the administration could be apprised about latest developments of the UIDAI. He further stated that the workshop marked a significant step towards enhancing the use of Aadhaar based authentication and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery.

Satellite phones will also be provided to all the subdivisions, he stated, adding that the state government has asked BSNL to provide the equipment much before the onset of monsoons which will prove handy for communication in emergent situations.

He said that HPSEDC has achieved a significant milestone drastically improving its financial graph by recording a net profit of Rs. 8.16 crores and a total turnover (revenue) exceeding Rs. 200 crores during the fiscal year 2022-23. This is a substantial achievement in the history of the corporation and indicates growth and success in their business activities, said the Chief Minister adding that this profit was an indicator of the corporation's good financial health and profitability.

The State Government was according utmost priority to the telecom sector under the visionary leadership of the Chief Minister, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and is committed to cover the unconnected villages, shadow areas and the tribal belts of the State with seamless connectivity in shape of 5G, said Sh.
