He praised his daughter as an intellectually accomplished scholar, an inspiring guide, an efficient administrator and a teacher with a strong sense of responsibility. He expressed hope that the affection, expectations and prayers of her students and well-wishers would continue to bring positive outcomes in the years ahead.

Highlighting her contributions during her long public life, the Prime Minister noted that President Murmu has served the nation with distinction, particularly through her concern for the welfare of underprivileged and marginalized communities. He described her dedication to inclusive development and nation-building as a source of motivation for citizens across India.

During the meeting, the Governor apprised the President about his new responsibilities and shared updates regarding the state’s progress and key developmental priorities. The interaction was held in a cordial atmosphere, reflecting the importance of coordination between the constitutional offices.

The President said that India is making continuous efforts to strengthen its healthcare infrastructure and ensure that quality medical care reaches every citizen. Through historic schemes such as Ayushman Bharat, affordable and high-quality healthcare services are being made available to millions of citizens. Cancer treatment has also been brought under the ambit of the Ayushman Bharat scheme, thereby benefiting poor and needy patients.

The President said that the dates marking the Bhoomi Pujan of this supremely sacred Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, the Pran Pratishtha of the divine idol of Ram Lalla here, the opening of the Ram Darbar for devotees, and the hoisting of the religious flag atop the temple's spire are golden in our history and culture.

The President said that due to government's efforts, traditional sectors, as well as non-traditional sectors like defense, space, and atomic energy, are providing opportunities for young people to establish enterprises. Technologically skilled young people, like students of NIT Jamshedpur, can utilize these opportunities to create employment not only for themselves but also for others.

Speaking on the occasion, the President said that our Constitution makers dedicated an entire part of the Constitution to Services and Public Service Commissions. This highlights the significance they attached to the roles and functions of the Public Service Commissions for the Union and for the States.

The President also recalled the centuries old cultural dialogue between our people, from ancient trade routes, to the inspiring correspondence through letters between Mahatma Gandhi and Leo Tolstoy, and the mutual admiration for each other’s rich cultural, literary and artistic heritage.

The President said that it is a matter of national pride that everyone, from the general public to experts, has become increasingly confident in our Constitution. The answer to the question, "What does the Constitution say on this subject?" has become the criterion for the appropriateness of any action or system.

The President expressed hope that during this visit, the parliamentary delegation of Cyprus will gain knowledge about India's democracy and parliamentary functioning. She expressed confidence that such a parliamentary exchange will further strengthen the friendly relations between India and Cyprus.
