Addressing huge gatherings on this occasion, the Speaker, Deputy Speaker and the Cabinet Ministers said that the State Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has taken many pro people and Welfare centric decisions. The Punjab Government is following the path shown by Shaheed Bhagat Singh and Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and is continuously working for the welfare of the people and the betterment of Punjab.

For effective training delivery, the cascade training model has been adopted, under which state-level master trainers train district- and block-level Anganwadi workers. Special emphasis is being laid on weekly play-based calendars, daily schedules, observation-based assessment tools and the Aadharshila Curriculum (2024) to strengthen foundational learning and numeracy skills.

Disclosing the Schedule of all Cabinet Ministers, a spokesperson of the Punjab Government said that Mr. Harpal Singh Cheema would unfurl the flag at Bathinda, Mr. Aman Arora at Pathankot, Dr. Baljit Kaur at Ferozepur, Mr. Sanjeev Arora at Faridkot, Dr. Balbir Singh at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Mr. Hardeep Singh Mundian at Amritsar, Mr. Lal Chand at Malerkotla, Mr. Laljit

The Cabinet Minister emphasized that the scheme is not limited merely to financial assistance, but is a strong initiative aimed at ensuring social security, self-respect and economic empowerment of widowed and dependent women, enabling them to secure a better future for themselves and their families.

The Minister emphasized that integrating persons with disabilities into the mainstream of society is among the top priorities of the Punjab Government. Along with financial assistance, focused efforts are being made to provide them employment opportunities, skill development training, and accessible infrastructure to make them self-reliant and empowered. 

Local Government Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh launched the distribution of relief funds to flood-affected families in Hoshiarpur district. At an event held at Tanda Municipal Council, the first tranche of approval letters was handed over. As many as 60 beneficiaries received approval letters totaling Rs.24.27 lakh, while beneficiaries from village Fatta received Rs.9.46 lakh, those from Abdullapur received Rs.5.50 lakh and beneficiaries from Gandhowal received Rs.9.30 lakh.

Giving more information, the Minister of Social Security, Women and Child Development, Dr. Baljit Kaur said that the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to protect the rights of women of Punjab who are willing to go abroad, have settled there or have returned. Special attention is being given by the Punjab Government.

Dr.  Baljit Kaur reiterated that the  Chief Minister  Bhagwant Mann for stopping the braindrain from punjab by creating new job opportunities so that the youth should not go to foreign shores in pursuit of their dreams.

Sandeep Singh has been appointed as a clerk in the office of Child Development Project Officer, Jalalabad and Gurtej Singh has been appointed as a peon in the office of Social Security Officer, Ferozepur. Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur handed over the appointment letters to both the employees.

Dr. Baljit Kaur said that the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is committed to the welfare of employees. Under this, understanding the difficulties of Anganwadi workers, helpers and the importance of their families, relief was given by transferring them in a transparent manner.
