New Delhi: Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Jagat Prakash Nadda on Tuesday launched a series of landmark digital health initiatives aimed at making healthcare more accessible, integrated, and citizen-centric across the country.

The initiatives unveiled include Aarogya Setu 2.0, Ayushman App, Ayushman Sarathi WhatsApp Chatbot, National Health Claims Exchange (NHCX), Unified Health Interface (UHI), Drug Registry, Common LOINC Codes for India (CLCI), and Bharat Health Terminology Service (BHTS).

Speaking on the occasion, Nadda said these digital capabilities will bring healthcare services closer to every citizen by seamlessly connecting healthcare providers, hospitals, laboratories, and government services on a unified digital platform.

Highlighting the significance of Aarogya Setu 2.0, the Health Minister described it as a comprehensive digital health companion that consolidates personal health records into a single application. The upgraded platform also enables easy access to government health services while offering AI-powered health insights, making healthcare more personalized, proactive, and efficient.

"Our vision is to build a citizen-centric and proactive healthcare ecosystem that connects providers and healthcare facilities across states on a single digital platform," Nadda said.

The minister also emphasized that India's healthcare sector has witnessed remarkable transformation over the past 12 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with digital innovation playing a pivotal role in expanding healthcare access and improving service delivery.

Congratulating the National Health Authority (NHA) and officials of the Union Health Ministry, Nadda appreciated their dedicated efforts in successfully developing and implementing these digital health platforms.

The newly launched initiatives are expected to further strengthen India's digital health infrastructure by enabling seamless data exchange, standardized medical terminology, faster health insurance claim processing, and improved interoperability across the healthcare ecosystem.

These initiatives form part of the Government of India's broader vision of creating a digitally empowered, transparent, and inclusive healthcare system that delivers quality healthcare services to every citizen.
