Political activity has intensified in Gram Panchayat Harlog under Ghumarwin Development Block of Bilaspur district as former Deputy Pradhan Jagdish Chandel officially filed his nomination papers for the post of Pradhan. Supporters and local residents gathered in large numbers during the nomination process, reflecting growing enthusiasm around the upcoming Panchayat elections.
Having served as Deputy Pradhan of Gram Panchayat Harlog for nearly 10 years, Jagdish Chandel appealed to the people for their blessings and support, promising transparent and development-oriented governance if elected.
Speaking after filing his nomination, Chandel said that reopening the closed Sub-Tehsil in Gram Panchayat Harlog would be one of his top priorities. He further stated that committees would be formed in every ward to ensure transparency in development works and to prevent corruption.
He also promised to improve road connectivity and drinking water facilities in every ward of the Panchayat. According to him, efforts would be made to secure maximum government funds for equal development across all wards.
Highlighting the importance of health and education, Jagdish Chandel said he would raise the issue of vacant posts in schools and healthcare institutions with the government to ensure better services for local residents.
He further assured that families living below the poverty line would be helped in obtaining government financial assistance for housing schemes.
Expressing confidence ahead of the elections, Jagdish Chandel said that with the blessings and cooperation of the people, he aims to take Gram Panchayat Harlog towards a new era of development and transparency.
